The Central Okanagan School District in Kelowna has five public high schools, all of which warmly welcome international students:
- George Elliot Secondary School (GESS) – Located in Lake Country, surrounded by stunning lakes
- Kelowna Secondary School (KSS) – The largest and most popular school in Kelowna
- Mount Boucherie Secondary School (MBSS) – Known for its strong sports programs in West Kelowna
- Okanagan Mission Secondary (OKM) – A calm environment close to the lake, perfect for focused study
- Rutland Senior Secondary (RSS) – The oldest school in Kelowna, with excellent teachers and easy access to shopping areas

VanWest College in Kelowna offers a High School Preparation Program. Students can strengthen their English before starting high school by joining:
- Short-term courses in July and August
- Longer preparation from April to August
